INTRODUCTION:
In September 2008, Porsche Announced a limited edition run of the Cayman and Boxster, namely the Cayman S Sport and the Boxter S Sport Edition 2.
Build numbers would be limited to 700 Cayman’s and 500 Boxster’s Worldwide. The Cayman S Sport would come with more power and a whole host of equipment upgrades for an additional cost of £5,640 over the standard S model and each example would carry its build number on a facia mounted plaque.

The Sport edition would be an enhanced and more focused drivers’ car than the standard S model and feature a slight power increase, GT3 inspired interior, Upgraded Suspension & Alloy Wheels along with a Sports Exhaust and GT inspired looks. The S Sport model would be the first factory Cayman built with over 300bhp and would basically become the template for the later Cayman R which ultimately led to the first ‘GT’ Cayman, the GT4.

Of the 700 Cayman S Sports built, just 69 cars were allocated to the UK market. This makes these cars a very rare and potentially highly collectable model when you compare the low build numbers to the 1,621 Cayman R’s built from 2011 with a UK allocation of 220 cars and which have become a bit of a legend in Porsche circles.

DESCRIPTION:
Here we present for sale Cayman No.444 of that limited edition run finished in stunning Carrara White. The car has covered just 34,000 miles and is presented in superb original condition with a full-service history.

Externally this Cayman presents beautifully with superb blemish free gleaming Carrara White paintwork and immaculate Sport Design alloy wheels finished in gloss black with silver lip fitted with a brand-new set of Goodyear eagle F1 N-rated tyres. The S Sport also features Gloss Black external detailing for the door mirrors, side intakes and rear badge along with side ‘Cayman S’ script decals.

A paint meter inspection suggests this example retains its original factory paintwork with no indication or suggestion of previous bodywork repair. A nice finishing touch is the unique and perfect Private Register Number which comes with this Cayman S Sport: - P444 LTD.

Internally the Sports theme continues with black leather Sports Seats and GT3 inspired Alcantara trimmed Steering Wheel, Gear Leaver and Handbrake whilst Gloss Black trim detailing carries on from the exterior theme. The leather, trim, carpets and switchgear is in superb condition and shows no major signs of wear.

On the road, the 987 Cayman is a renowned driver’s car with perfect balance and sharp handling in a compact, well-engineered package. It therefore goes without saying that the slightly more focused and enhanced S Sport variant takes the driver experience up a notch making for a truly great driver focused sports car.

Steering is sharp and communicative; the short shift gear change is accurate and precise and the brakes positive and confidence inspiring. The sports tuned sports exhaust adds to the spine tingling flat six soundtrack and the lowered, PASM suspension offers impeccable handling and road manners. HISTORY:
The car was first registered on 28th January 2009 at Porsche Centre Norwich. In April 2013 with a mileage of 15,142, the Cayman was sold to its 2nd owner through Porsche Specialist Paul Stephens who also sold the car again later in April 2014 at a mileage of 18,301.

The car was purchased by the current owner in May 2024 from a local specialist car dealership in Cheshire for use as a weekend and special occasions car, with a mileage of 34,249 and has covered less than 500 dry miles in their ownership.
