DESCRIPTION:
CSC offer for sale this superb and fairly unique 986 Boxster S finished in stunning Lapis Blue metallic with complimenting Blue Convertible Hood and somewhat contrasting and bold Boxster Red interior trim.

The exterior bodywork presents very well with no major marks or blemishes to be found, and the factory optioned 18” turbo style alloy wheels are virtually unmarked and fitted with matching Pilot Sport tyres. The glass window convertible hood was new in 2021 and remains in superb condition with no major marks or wear.

The interior is also in excellent condition with no major signs of wear. The Boxster Red trim and leather seats are largely unmarked without the common side bolster wear to the driver’s seat, and all trim, switchgear, facias and carpets remain in clean undamaged condition.

On the road, the 986 Boxster S offers the perfect level of performance along with sublime handling. The steering is sharp and communicative; the gear change is a joy with a precise gear selection and a smooth light clutch pedal. Brakes are smooth, progressive and confidence inspiring, scrubbing speed off with ease if required as you would expect in a light-weight mid-engined Porsche.

The 3.2 engine starts easily and idles quietly. On the move, the engine runs without hesitation and pulls well through the gears with that classic flat-six howl making for a real treat in the higher rev range and is a real attraction of these cars as any Porsche enthusiast will tell you. This example adds the icing on the cake with the Sports Exhaust adding an enjoyable but unobtrusive bit of extra aural enhancement.

The Boxster had a replacement clutch with RMS / IMS seal in April 21 along with a new Design Tek stainless steel Sports Exhaust. Air conditioning condensers were replaced in June 22 whilst the outdated CDR22 head unit was also replaced with Porsches own PCCM classic unit with colour touch screen, DAB radio and Bluetooth connectivity.

However, the best part of any Boxster is the option to go topless whenever the weather and your mood suits. Be it a hot summer’s day or a crisp fresh autumn morning with the heated seats on, dropping the convertible hood and listening to Porsche’s fabulous flat six exhaust note behind you stirs the senses and is pure driver heaven. The original Boxster still offers a purity and enjoyment now lost in so many later variants.

HISTORY:
The Boxster was first registered on 1st March 2002 at Porsche Centre Edinburgh to its original owner from Dundee The car has been with the current owner since April 2024 and was only sold to exchange for a tiptronic version due to mobility issues.

The history file shows the Boxster remained in the Porsche main dealer network for servicing and maintenance, largely with the supplying dealership until 2010
since when the car has been looked after by Specialist Independent garages. The last service was completed by JMH Porsche here in Cheshire in May 2025.
