Being an 03 model, this is a facelift model which features a glass, heated rear window in the convertible hood, re-styled front and rear bumpers, spoiler and the later clear front and rear indicators lenses.

The exterior bodywork presents beautifully with no major marks or damage to the paintwork and the car sits on factory optioned 17’’ Sport Classic alloy wheels which suit the car really well. Inside, the Metropole Blue leather interior is again in superb condition and shows no major signs of hard use or wear.

On the road, this 2.7 Boxster feels tight and responsive as you would expect with light but accurate controls, and sure footed handling. Compared to the 3.2 ‘S’ we have always found the 2.7 5 speed manual a sweet spot in the 986 range as it offers real world performance and the howl of that glorious flat six engine without risking you’re driving licence to much. The 5 speed gear box ratios also suit British B roads perfectly where 3rd and 4th gear are all you need to make good, enjoyable progress whilst the slightly more subtle and forgiving suspension is a little more compliant on the UK’s lumpy road surfaces.

The best part of any Boxster however is the option to go topless whenever the weather and your mood suits. Be it a hot summers day or a crisp fresh autumn morning with the heater on full warm, dropping the convertible hood and listening to Porsche’s fabulous flat six exhaust note behind you stirs the senses and is pure driver heaven.
