DESCRIPTION:
CSC offer for sale this superb, high spec 987 Boxster finished in classic Arctic Silver metallic with complimenting Black Leather seats. This example was ordered with a huge selection of factory options geared towards making this the perfect Boxster for all situations.

The exterior bodywork presents beautifully with no major marks or blemishes to be found, and the factory optioned 19” Carrera alloy wheels are virtually unmarked. The convertible hood remains in superb condition with no major marks or wear and the Bi-Xenon headlights remain nice and clear crystal clear without the usual stone damage and clouding so often found on some more weathered examples.

Inside, the interior is also in superb condition with no major signs of wear. The black leather seats are virtually unmarked without the usual side bolster wear to the driver’s seat, and the original floor mats remain in clean undamaged condition. The car was optioned with electrically heated seats which is a welcome addition if a drive out on a clear crisp winters day takes your fancy and the wind deflector keeps the cabin wind buffeting down when driving with the hood down.

This Boxster was ordered with a huge selection of factory options which together make for a very useable car, especially longer journeys or road trips where the Heated Seats, Navigation, Cruise Control, BOSE sound system, Bi-Xenon Headlights and Park Assist really start to make sense.

On the road, these 2.7 Boxster’s offers the perfect level of performance and handling for our less than perfect UK roads. The engine can be used as intended without risking hitting triple figures in a few seconds and the slightly more supple suspension offer a much more forgiving and compliant ride than the stiffer and harsher ‘S’ model and the 5-speed transmission has perfectly geared ratios for a good ‘B’ road run.

This example still feels tight and responsive as you would expect with light but accurate controls, and sure-footed handling. Steering is light and accurate, the clutch operation is light, and the 5-speed manual gearbox selects gears with ease and positivity. Brakes are smooth, positive and progressive which inspires driver confidence as you would expect.

The 2.7 engine starts easily and idles quietly. On the move, the engine runs without hesitation and pulls well through the gears with the classic flat-six howl making for a real treat in the higher rev range and is a real attraction of these cars as any Porsche enthusiast will tell you.

However, the best part of any Boxster is the option to go topless whenever the weather and your mood suits. Be it a hot summer’s day or a crisp fresh autumn morning with the heated seats on, dropping the convertible hood and listening to Porsche’s fabulous flat six exhaust note behind you stirs the senses and is pure driver heaven. The 987 Boxster still offers a purity and enjoyment now lost in so many later sports cars.
