DESCSRIPTION:
CSC are excited to offer for sale this superb high spec 2004 996 turbo coupe with 6 speed manual transmission and finished in classic Basalt Black metallic with complimenting Black Leather interior. This example is a factory Aero-Kit model with the highly sought after optional X50 engine power upgrade along with many other desirable features and must be one of the better 996 turbo’s currently available nationwide.

Following the 996 turbo’s release in 2001, in 2002 Porsche offered an optional power Upgrade for the mezger engine based turbo model known as the X50 package. This included larger K24 turbochargers and Intercoolers along with a revised ECU which raised power output from 420bhp to 444bhp. The gearbox was also upgraded to handle the additional power.

The extra power reduced the 0-62 acceleration time by 0.2 seconds whilst increasing the cars top speed to 192mph and the X50 package would become the standard engine specification for the ‘turbo S’ model which followed in 2005 as the model prepared to make way for the 997 variant in 2006.

This particular example has covered a very sensible 56,000 miles and therefore remains in superb condition. The Basalt Black exterior presents beautifully and the car sits on unmarked factory specification light weight 18’’ ‘hollow spoke’ alloy wheels. As if the standard 996 turbo’s aren’t eye-catching enough, the factory Aero-Kit option as specified on this car really makes the car stand out visually whilst increasing aerodynamic stability at high speed.

Inside, the Black leather interior is again in superb condition and shows no major signs of hard use or wear and features Porsches superb 2-way electrically adjustable hard-back Sport’s Seat option offering excellent adjustment and support. The interior is lifted by the full factory ‘Aluminium’ trim package comprising silver instrument surround, dash trims and centre console. Other desirable features include PCM with Navigation and BOSE audio.

On the road, this relatively low mileage example feels tight and responsive as you would expect with precise controls, and sure footed handling. The 996 turbo can be driven easily around town at low speed without any drama whilst out on the open road, exploring the higher end of the rev range and unleashing the twin turbos results in brutal acceleration if the mood takes. Whatever the occasion and conditions, the 4 wheel drive system offers security and peace of mind.

The 996 variant 911 turbo continued Porsches well established reputation of the everyday supercar. Easy and practical enough to drive to the supermarket but with epic performance instantly on tap for that cross country dash when required.
