BACKGROUND:
The Porsche enthusiast community is generally known for their love of all things "OEM and as Porsche intended", and we understand that completely. However, every now and then, something a little bit different and rather special appears and this 964 is very much one of those unique and very well executed cars.

This 964 began life as a standard 1990 3.6 Carrera 4 coupe which was, in more recent years, subject to an engine upgrade in the form of a supercharger conversion supplied by American performance specialists TPC Racing.

The TPC 964/993 supercharger kit is designed as a fairly simple ‘bolt-on’ pack, designed to work with a completely stock engine with no internal modifications, therefore retaining OEM reliability whilst improving power, torque and everyday drivability.

The TPC kit raises power to around 410bhp and with the additional Intercooler kit, power is upped further to around 450bhp. With a healthy engine and quality exhaust system, performance should exceed the standard factory 964 turbo, with the added benefit of no turbo lag.

Cheshire Porsche specialists Ninemeister first became familiar with this 964 in 2009 when it was entrusted to them by the previous owner with instructions to further develop the car. The car was then subject to a substantial development programme at considerable cost resulting in an incredible one-off and unique, driver focused 964.

The requirements specification included a full RS style interior with Recaro Pole Position seats, KW variant 3 adjustable coil-over suspension, a ‘Big Red’ Porsche brake upgrade, an RS clutch and flywheel and RS rear bumper along with some further improvements to improve the car's power delivery and driveability. In addition the whole car was mechanically audited with typical NineMeister attention to detail replacing and/or upgrading many age worn parts as needed.

In 2016, this unique 964 was sold through Hexagon classics to the current owner, another NineMeister customer, who in 2017, instructed them to make some further improvements to the car.

Externally, the car was treated to a major cosmetic refresh and re-finished in original Porsche L980 silver metallic. New carpets were fitted throughout, the seats were re-trimmed in Leather with Alcantara inserts and an RS rear window was fitted. A long list of mechanical work including engine removal was also carried out to complete work on the car.

In March 2021, the car returned to Ninemeister for a top end engine rebuild/reseal which has recently been completed. The car will be presented to the new owner fully "run in" and ready to enjoy.

DESCRIPTION:
The car presents immaculately with pristine Silver Metallic paintwork, the front bumper, front wings and bonnet of which are protected with armour-fend paint protection film. Front bumper brake duct intakes and rear bumper centre section give an RS look and the car sits perfectly on 18 inch FUCHS lightweight alloy wheels with the classic finish of satin black centres with anodised rims, which show off the big red brakes behind them.

Internally, the RS theme is continued with Recaro Pole Position racing seats trimmed in black leather with two tone grey Alcantara inserts with the rear seats trimmed to match, and leather trimmed RS door cards. The dashboard is also trimmed in matching black leather, whilst an Alcantara trimmed Momo steering wheel completes the look. As part of the interior refurbishment new carpets were fitted throughout including in the front luggage compartment.

The engine bay, also presents beautifully, showing off the very tidy supercharger conversion and painted engine fan. The custom exhaust system features twin pipe outlets with tips finished in satin black.

HISTORY:
The car was first registered on 22nd January 1990 at AFN Porsche London. The car was originally based in the London area before being purchased by its 4th owner from Clitheroe in the Lake District in August 2006 whom we believe had the supercharger conversion carried out.

The car was later sold via Hexagon Classics to the current owner, again London based in April 2016 who has since used Cheshire based NineMeister to carry out the further work and refinement of the car to create the vehicle we have for sale today.

The car's service records show the car stayed within the main dealer service network for its first three services followed by a mixture of specialist independents and OPC’s over the subsequent years.

NineMeister Porsche have been responsible for the development, servicing & maintenance of the car since 2009 and a file full of detailed work carried out, including the recent £13,000 engine rebuild by 9m accompanies the car.

The car is HPi clear and the current MOT runs until 18th April 2022 and shows no advisory points raised at the last test.
