INTRODUCTION:
Porsche has a history of building limited runs of anniversary celebration models of it’s flagship model 911. In 1993 they produced the 964 anniversary model to mark 30 years of the model, in 2003 they produced the 996 40 Jahre Anniversary and to celebrate 50 years of 911 production in 2013, Porsche announced a limited edition 911 model with unique retro-based features to commemorate the original 911 launched in 1963.

The 50th Anniversary Edition would be limited to a build of just 1963 cars worldwide, each chassis carrying its unique build number on a dashboard plaque. The would be based on the current 991 3.8 litre Carrera S with its wider (Carrera 4) body whilst retaining the purer dynamics of drive to the rear wheels only making the model the only rear wheel drive wide bodied 911 available at the time.

The “Retro Design Theme” saw the 50th anniversary being available in just three period inspired colours, Geysher Grey, Graphite Grey and Black, whilst the model would feature chrome detailing and FUCH inspired alloy wheels to complete the look. The theme is continued the interior with Green Back-lit Instruments and Houndstooth cloth seat centres along with period coloured leather and aluminium trim.

Alongside the Retro design elements, the 50th Anniversary model would be available with all the usual 911 modern comforts with many standard features as well as a long options list for buyers wishing to personalise their car further. This exclusive model was offered to existing Porsche owners only and had a list price of over £92,000 for the base car. It is understood that just 101 50th Anniversary 911’s were sold in the UK making the model very rare and highly collectable.

DESCRIPTION:
This particular 911 50th Anniversary, chassis number 0307, is finished in stunning Graphite Grey. This example presents beautifully defying its twelve years of age with barely a stone chip to be found with the front of the car protected by Paint Protection Film. The OEM 20” Sport Classic FUCH style alloy wheels remain un-blemished and wear N Rated Pirelli P Zero tyres. This example is also fitted with Porsche’s OEM fixed Sport Design Ducktail spoiler which echoes the highly praised RS model of the 70’s and really enhances the retro character of the car.

On the inside, the full Agate Leather optioned interior remains in unmarked condition with no major signs of use or wear along with the Aluminium trim, switchgear and instrumentation. This example was ordered with some very nice options including full leather Heated Seats, Burmester Surround Sound system and tilt & slide Glass Roof with internal electric sunblind.
